Constructive Fury

I have a bad habit of asking people what work “sets their soul on fire.”

I don’t meet a lot of people who know the answer to that question. Most people either like the world the way it is, or have given up their own agency to change it. They’ve handed away their power, or they refuse to acknowledge it.

It’s a matter of taking responsibility for the way you believe the world should be.

Rostam Zafari talks about this in his TEDx talk at TEDxKish. He calls it constructive fury.

He says most people feel too average to make a change. You’re not too average to make a change. But maybe you need to be furious to make it.

Work that sets your soul on fire is the work you do with fury.

“The world, like all good stories, needs heroes.” -Rostam Zafari

What makes you furious? What must be made right? Will you be brave enough to take it on?

Good question.
